Arts Detroit, a music and performing arts studio dedicated to empowering students with a unique focus on musical theater through voice, piano, and acting instruction, will open its Allen Park location April 23.

All are welcome to spend the afternoon in the new studio, learn more about students and the programs while enjoying light refreshments and live music.

Executive Director Adriane Galea, along with current students and parents, will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions and give tours of the space. To wrap the evening up, Arts Detroit will host a live karaoke contest.

The grand opening runs from 1 to 7 p.m. with a 1 p.m. ribbon cutting ceremony hosted with the Allen Park Chamber of Commerce and Allen Park Downtown Development Authority.
